Job SummaryQuality Inspector I performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure compliance with company rules and policies.
- Comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations.
- Comply with applicable standards (ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
- Maintain and safeguard business records.
- Use good reasoning skills and knowledge of Knorr/Merak/IFE/Microellectrica documentation and specifications.
- Assist with or conduct process audits, customer PSI (Source Inspections), and First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Verify and document activities on paper and using computer software such as Word, Excel, Windchill and SAP.
- Properly select and use precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Determine whether product is acceptable or rejected, initiate rejection notices (NCRs), and maintain accurate records of inspections performed.
High School Diploma/GED.
Required ExperienceSitting, Standing, Walking, Alternate Sitting or Standing at will, Crouching, Pushing or Pulling, Stooping, Reaching Overhead, Kneeling and Lifting or Carrying a maximum weight of 50 LBS.
Compensation and BenefitsWage scale for Westminster, MD: $22.50 to $24.50 per hour. Pay depends on factors such as experience and education. Employees are eligible for group health care plans, 401(k) plan, 80 hours of vacation leave, 12 paid holidays plus one floating holiday, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and other benefits as outlined in company policy. Employees may purchase company stock and receive annual bonuses based on performance.
