Hourly rate: $23.00 per hour + $2.00 shift differential.
Shift hours: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.
What You’ll DoEaton’s Mission Systems Division seeks a Composite Assembler I based at our Westminster, MD facility. The role supports the manufacturing and production of high‑precision aerospace composite components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency in the fabrication and assembly of composite structures.
In This Function You Will- Complete training and perform all steps required to fabricate and assemble a composite pressure vessel.
- Prepare and complete the setup of the assigned machine.
- Mix and prepare chemicals and resins.
- Load and unload ovens.
- Meet daily output requirements.
- Perform checks and procedures to ensure quality of the product.
- Integrate Environmental, Health, and Safety into everyday activities.
- Comply with work and process instructions.
- Assist in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
- Identify improvement opportunities.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for each task.
- Work safely and report near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
- Maintain training to meet required certified elements for the position.
- Manage traceability of components to ensure accuracy.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or 1 year of military experience.
- Applicants must be U.S. persons in the meaning of ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee).
- Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of the work location will be considered; active‑duty military service members are exempt from the geographic limitation.
- Position requires handling information or hardware subject to ITAR.
- High school diploma or associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical technology.
- Assembly or test experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, cellular manufacturing, one‑piece flow, and continuous improvement concepts.
- Experience with industrial machinery and tools (e.g., lathes, curing ovens, sanding and painting tools).
