Expanding Boundaries International is seeking a results driven Development Assistant to join our administrative core. This role is essential for fueling our expansion across Maryland and our seven hubs in Ghana. You will work directly with our leadership to identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major gift donors and corporate partners who are committed to bridging the digital divide and supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4.
Key Responsibilities- Donor Research:
Identify potential major gift donors and corporate sponsors whose philanthropic goals align with S.T.E.A.M. education and global exchange. - Corporate Sponsorship Support:
Assist in drafting outreach scripts and tailored partnership proposals for school districts and businesses. - Fundraising Administration:
Support the management of the Brenda
A. Brown Passport Scholarship fund by tracking contributions and preparing donor appreciation reports. - Strategic Communications:
Help translate complex program data into compelling impact stories for fundraising campaigns. - Partnership Tracking:
Maintain our pipeline of potential sponsors, ensuring all outreach follows a one to two week follow up timeline.

While prior knowledge of fundraising is beneficial, we highly value candidates who possess the right attitude and a hunger to learn. We prefer a person with the drive to develop their skills along the way over someone with experience but a rigid approach. - Communication
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a mission driven voice. - Professional Standard:
Ability to maintain a task focused professional standard while expressing deep gratitude to our supporters. - Technical Interest:
Interest in nonprofit management, international relations, or business development.
By volunteering as a Development Assistant, you will gain hands on experience in high level nonprofit strategy. You will play a direct role in ensuring that every student has the opportunity to explore the world and access technical education, regardless of their zip code.
