TITLE: Kids Ministry Coordinator
REPORTING: Family Ministries Director
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Kids Ministry Coordinator leads childhood discipleship and family ministry at the campus level by helping create a space where kids feel known, safe, and excited to learn who Jesus is in a way that sticks. This role focuses on relational volunteer leader development, behind-the-scenes administrative organization, and equipping parents to act as the primary disciple rs of their children throughout the week.
Through Sunday leadership and intentional volunteer care, this role ensures weekends run smoothly, leaders feel supported and developed, and families are warmly welcomed into a thriving, mission‑aligned discipleship pathway.
CHARACTER- A growing follower of Jesus who genuinely loves kids and families, displaying a clear commitment to model, lead, and disciple people to take deep (knowing Jesus) and wide steps (serving others) to follow Jesus.
- Relational and approachable, enjoying connecting with people, building trust, and showing high relational warmth to staff, volunteers, leaders, parents, and congregants.
- Organized and dependable, following through on commitments, handling administrative details well, and serving with excellence and integrity.
- Comfortable leading volunteers with clarity, encouragement, and care while modeling a healthy, balanced leadership rhythm.
- Values‑aligned, living out Crossroads' beliefs and values (connect, grow, serve, give, and invite) in everyday life. Partner intentionally with parents to equip them as the primary spiritual leaders of their children.
