Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator Unit
  • Under the direct supervision of the Operating Room Coordinator and the OR Director, responsible for nursing activities related to care of patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.
  • Acts as a resource person and provides guidance to non‑licensed personnel.
  • Provides care for adult patients, including older adults through geriatric and some pediatric patients.
  • Performance evaluated based on age‑specific competency criteria.
Qualifications Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification
  • Current Texas Nursing License.
  • Current CPR, ACLS.
  • PALS preferred.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience, hospital setting preferred.
  • Must have orthopedic and spine experience.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
  • Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
  • Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of developmental needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
