Grocery Sales Associate

• Keep the Grocery department well stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive incremental sales.
• Stock and rotate merchandise to ensure freshness and keep products within easy customer reach. Store excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines.
• Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Apply proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, and maintain correct pricing and signage.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, checking in, breaking down, and storing deliveries through operation of power jack or hand jack (training provided).
• Handle damaged or discontinued items according to company policy and remove products that cannot be sold.
• Perform general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines to keep work areas, equipment, counters, displays, and storage areas well maintained and meeting health and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain productivity standards, work methods, and shrink control; comply with security regulations and policies; and perform stock replenishment at an acceptable rate.
• Assist with baling cardboard or other related duties when properly trained.
• Ensure smooth operation of the department and store by cooperating with co‑workers and supervisors; continuously improve job performance.
• Use all company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) such as cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
• May also be called upon to assist in other departments.

 
• Completed or working toward a High School Diploma or GED. No prior experience required.

The hourly rate starts at $15.00 and can increase to $22.00.
