This is highly skilled journeyman level technical, electrical, electronic and mechanical work installing, calibrating, and maintaining power plant electrical, electronic, digital, pneumatic, hydraulic and computer controlled instrumentation/controls equipment and systems. Experience working with DCS and PLC systems is highly desirable.

** The Deerhaven Power Plant is currently looking for a Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Technician. This is highly skilled journeyman level technical, electrical, electronic and mechanical work installing, calibrating, and maintaining power plant electrical, electronic, digital, pneumatic, hydraulic and computer controlled instrumentation/controls equipment and systems. Experience working with DCS and PLC systems is highly desirable.
To qualify you must have graduated from high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma; and completion of all requirements as established in progression-through-training program(s) for Power Plant Electrical, Instrument and Controls Technician; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
This position is subject to a residential boundary requirement. If selected for this position, you will be required, within 12 months of date of hire, to live within or reside within a 60-minute drive of the intersection of & and in .Job Description LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

Must meet minimum Craft and Safety Training established for designated journeyman program within the guidelines established in the progression-through-training program.
Work requires the use of personal protection equipment including hearing protection, eye protection, foot protection, hand protection, head protection, and use of respiratory protection including self-contained breathing units. This position requires the ability to use respiratory protection equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations
Work at heights of over 100 feet on open grating or from aerial devices required, including the requirement to climb stairs.
Work safely with hazardous chemicals and systems using hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to: acids, caustics, water treatment and maintenance chemicals.
Observes and adheres to proper lockout/tagout of plant equipment and systems in accordance with clearance procedures, policies, and practices.
Work requires exposure to prolonged high noise levels requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
Work may require performance of tasks outdoors under varying climatic conditions.
Work may require performance of tasks in extreme heat and confined areas requiring the use of special equipment.
Work requires physical strength and agility sufficient to safely perform all essential job functions, including the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds without assistance.
Must communicate verbally, see physical surroundings, hear others, and demonstrate good communications skills.
