Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Flexible after probationary period)

FR Conversions, a leading manufacturer of wheelchair-accessible vans and Type II ambulances, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment uptime and plant reliability so production can deliver on time, every time. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining facilities, utilities, and production equipment in a safe and compliant manner. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Lead and will drive preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate effectively to support operational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
    Execute preventive maintenance tasks while monitoring reliability metrics.
  • Equipment Coverage:
    Maintain and troubleshoot systems including powder-coat line and ovens, air compressors/dryers, HVAC/RTUs, sandblasters, vehicle lifts, forklifts, overhead doors, and building utilities (lighting, plumbing, carpentry, alarms, ventilation).
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    Diagnose and repair electrical (24V-480V; 1PH and 3PH), mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic motor control systems to implement permanent fixes.
  • Work Order & Documentation:
    Perform work orders as assigned, ensuring accurate records aligned to FR's quality system and compliance standards.
  • Vendor & Inventory Management:
    Work with external vendors and monitor inventory and company tools.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Enforce OSHA requirements, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding, while adhering to NFPA 70E/70B practices.
  • Communication:
    Communicate the initiation and completion of critical jobs to leadership team and plant floor leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Perform various reliability projects to help ensure plant production efforts.
  • Reliability Support:
    Be on call after hours and weekends as needed to support urgent maintenance needs (after probationary period).
Salary & Compensation

The Maintenance Technician position is a full-time, hourly role with compensation based on experience and qualifications. Compensation packages are subject to applicable labor laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.

Safety-Sensitive Position

This role is designated safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment drug test and physical. Ongoing random, at-cause, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing will also apply.
