EL Teacher (Primary School Grades K-2)

Requirements:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with a self-contained general education grade range endorsement (ECE B-3 or Elementary K-9, Elementary K-6, or Elementary 1-6) with the following endorsements: ESL or ENL
• Experience teaching EL students at the elementary school level within the past five years. Student teaching counts as experience.
• Submission of all required materials via Appli Track

Preferred:

• Bilingual Endorsement covering the grade range or an ELS (TBE)

Job Goal: To have students communicate effectively in interpersonal situations; to promote English language proficiency skills by teaching the ability to read, comprehend, interpret, evaluate and use written material in English.

Salary:
In accordance with Board approved contract salary schedule (check website for additional information).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

1. Employment determined by school calendar.
2. Employment as established by the agreement of the Board of Education and the Maercker Education Association.

EVALUATION:

Performance is evaluated regularly by building or central office administration.
