Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. is hiring a Construction Project Manager I for its National Mission Critical team. The role focuses on managing project scopes and resources to meet goals, budgets, and customer satisfaction in mission‑critical construction.
Responsibilities- Client & Stakeholder Communication: build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors; participate in owner/client meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Contract & Scope Management: negotiate and write subcontractor and vendor agreements; review and process change orders, RFIs, and submittals accurately and efficiently.
- Project Execution & Financials: track project financials, cost reporting, forecasting, and budget maintenance; assist in developing and updating the master project schedule to ensure milestones are met.
- Procurement Support: execute the procurement strategy for assigned scopes of work; prepare bid packages, level bids, and assist in awarding subcontracts.
- Team
Collaboration:
work closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Safety Managers to align field operations with plans; mentor and guide Project Engineers and Project Assistants. - Administrative Assurance: ensure all documentation and close‑out materials are accurate and submitted promptly; review and approve subcontractor invoices and assist with the monthly owner billing process; track and resolve punch list items and warranty issues.
- Technical Coordination: coordinate with MEP coordinators to integrate heavy mechanical and electrical equipment (generators, UPS, switch gear, precision cooling) used in mission‑critical facilities.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: enforce rigorous QA/QC protocols and strict safety requirements for clean protocols, dust control, and work near energized environments.
- Equipment Tracking: monitor procurement, manufacturing, and delivery schedules for long‑lead equipment to avoid delays on the critical path.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management/Science, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Ability to travel to execute projects.
- Preferred:
Mission‑Critical Data Center project experience; knowledge of complex mission‑critical MEP systems; understanding of early turnover dates and commissioning processes; experience with critical work Methods of Procedures. - Proficient with Microsoft Office, Procore, P6, and other management tools.
- Excellent communication, customer focus, professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually. Base rate may vary within this range based on location and candidate qualifications. Position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission or incentive programs.
