Project Engineer
Job Description:
Work with the National Mission Critical team to assist in the completion of designated projects focusing on learning Ryan processes, procedures, and business policies.
- Help generate Requests for Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
- Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordinate shop drawings.
- Learn project dimensional control requirements while field‑verifying dimensions to back‑check the shop drawing approval process.
- Assist in coordinating and tracking vendor and subcontractor deliveries.
- Learn and apply Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Gain an understanding of overall site logistics.
- Participate in and understand the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
- Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
- Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on punchlist inspections, record punchlist items, and monitor completion of punchlist work.
- Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.
- Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
- Experience with Construction Management Software (e.g., Procore).
- Design‑build commercial construction experience.
- Verification of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000. The base rate may vary within this range based on location and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation including commission and/or an incentive program.
