The primary responsibility is to ensure all persons have a safe and enjoyable experience while visiting or using the Westmont Park District facilities. Under the direction and supervision of the Golf Club Manager & Special Events Coordinator, the Golf Club House Attendant will familiarize themselves with Park District and Twin Lakes Golf Club information and procedures so as to be able to answer questions and comments/concerns of patrons in a friendly and courteous manner.

Golf Club House Attendants are responsible for customer service, golfer check-in, operation of the clubhouse point of sale system, supervision of clubhouse activities, and maintaining an organized and welcoming environment. Friendly disposition, strong customer service skills, and multi-tasking abilities are required.

Hours: Various hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Hours are determined by the Golf Club Manager & Special Events Coordinator based on operational needs.

Rate: $16/hr

Essential Duties
  • Help all patrons of the Westmont Park District have an enjoyable time in a safe environment.
  • Responsible for greeting golfers and guests in a friendly and courteous manner and providing excellent customer service.
  • Answer questions regarding Twin Lakes Golf Club operations, programs, leagues, outings, events, and Park District services.
  • Operate point of sale and registration software systems for green fee sales, cart rentals, concession sales, merchandise sales, alcohol sales, and other golf-related transactions.
  • Responsible for handling cash, credit card transactions, balancing receipts, and maintaining accurate records of sales transactions.
  • Assist with golfer check-in, tee time management, and daily golf operations.
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with the staging, organization, cleaning, and storage of golf carts.
  • Perform routine inspections of golf carts and report maintenance concerns.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain concession, beverage, merchandise, and clubhouse inventory areas.
  • Sell food, beverages, alcoholic beverages, and merchandise in accordance with Park District policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clubhouse, patio, and customer service areas through light cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with golf outings, tournaments, leagues, special events, and other golf-related activities.
  • May be assigned duties as a starter, beverage cart attendant, or other golf operations support positions as needed.
  • Complete District-required BASSET and Food Handler certifications through District-provided training.
  • Perform any additional related tasks as required.
REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Basic computer and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate point of sale systems, handle cash transactions, and provide excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and capable of working independently with limited supervision.
  • Must possess strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn point of sale, registration, and reservation software systems.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • In an 8-hour workday employee may engage in activities that may include, but are not limited to: standing, sitting, walking, driving, bending, twisting and lifting 50+ lbs
    .
  • Evening and weekend ‘on-call’ hours may be required. Performs job safely and in compliance with the Park District’s policies and procedures, work rules and safety rules.
  • English must be spoken, read and understood to perform the functions of this position.
