Job Summary:
This role combines the elements of sales management and project management to drive business growth and ensure successful project execution. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving top line sales growth, including lead generation, customer development, manufacturer representative leadership all of which will require outstanding internal and customer communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organize and prioritize multiple programs and activities in accordance with the goals of the organization and/or requirements of the customer.
- Lead team of outside sales representatives to drive sales growth in technical product offering.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify and target business opportunities and target industries.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by actively pursuing new leads and opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Develop, establish and maintain external and internal relationships.
- Understand and effectively communicate the company's value proposition, technologies, and value to new and existing customers.
- Develop sales strategies to successfully grow top line revenue year over year.
- Lead inside and outside sales staff to effectively provide exceptional customer service to current and potential customers
- Report on key KPIs related to growth objectives (opportunities and customer face time)
- Participate and represent the company at networking functions, speaking engagements and other industry-related events
- Participate in industry trade shows and fairs representing company products and looking for new opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical or sales related field
- Five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing organizations in a sales generation role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management, cross-functional teams, and Customers for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong new business development and customer retention skills
- Strong organizational skills with success in meeting stringent deadlines
- Proficiency using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Up to 50% travel may be required, expected to be approximately 25% travel, domestic and international.
- Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to challenging situations
