Vehicle Technician ​/ Diagnostic Specialist – Independent Group

We are hiring an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected independent team in Weston-super-Mare. If you want a secure weekday role with multi-site network backing, modern tooling, and absolute weekend freedom, we offer a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00–17:00, no weekends), and a proper technician-first culture.

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Positioned directly within our standard bracket depending on experience).

Based in Weston-super-Mare, we are a premier independent service centre specializing in comprehensive vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, braking systems, and MOT testing. As part of a thriving, multi-site network across the region, we deliver dealer-level capability without the rigid corporate targets or high-pressure dealership politics.

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our technical team, you will:

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing
  , braking system repairs, tyre replacements, and general mechanical maintenance.
• Use up-to-date diagnostic equipment to systematically fault-find and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain high standards of efficiency and safety to deliver clean  first-time fix  results.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to keep the workshop running smoothly across a wide range of makes and models.

  Skills:
  
  Proven track record as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with strong knowledge of general servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
  An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair work.
• Key Strengths: Strong work ethic, reliable problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
