Salary: £37,440 per year (£18.00 per hour)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours per week)

The workshop carries out a high volume of insurance repair work, mainly on passenger vehicles with a small number of light commercial vans.

As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient stripping, repairing, and reassembly of vehicles to manufacturer and insurance standards. This is a predominantly MET-focused role, with around 80% of duties involving mechanical, electrical and trim work.

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Carry out vehicle strip and fit operations efficiently and accurately
• Identify additional damage and repair requirements
• Ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer and insurance standards
• Work closely with colleagues across the bodyshop to ensure vehicles are repaired on time
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

• Previous experience as an MET Technician within a bodyshop environment
• Strong stripping and refitting skills
• Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• ATA accreditation (advantageous but not essential)
• Has done panel beating before (Not essential)

• £18.00 per hour (£37,440 basic salary)
• Monday to Friday working hours – no weekends
