Highways Operative

We're recruiting Highways Operatives in the Weston-Super-Mare area. Are you experienced in groundworks, landscaping, traffic management or general outdoor manual work? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career with full training and development support.

• £27,350 - £34,750 per annum, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 07.30 - 16.00 - 39 working hours per week
• Saturdays paid @ x1.5 hourly rate
• Sundays paid @ x2 hourly rate

No two days are the same. You’ll be working as part of a close-knit team helping to keep local roads safe and well maintained by:

• Carrying out kerbing
• Road repairs, resurfacing, landscaping and general groundworks
• Installing, maintaining and removing traffic management systems
• Supporting winter maintenance activities and emergency response work
• Using specialist tools, machinery and equipment
• Working outdoors across a variety of locations

• Experience in groundworks, landscaping, kerbing, traffic management or similar outdoor/manual roles
• Reliable team players who enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Streetworks and/or CSCS tickets will command a higher pay rate
