POSITION:
French Teacher - 0.8 FTE (anticipated)
LOCATION:
Weston Middle School & Weston High School
Job Goal: To educate students in the French language and culture
Qualifications Required:
- Holds or is eligible for the Connecticut State Certification as a French teacher (#018)
- Possesses a degree in French or French Language Education from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrates cultural competence and the ability to incorporate cultural elements into language instruction
- Possesses extensive knowledge of needs, behavior and growth patterns of children ages 11-18
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate
Available: August 24, 2026
Terms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the Contract between the Weston Board of Education and the Weston Teachers' Association
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Weston Educator and Leader Growth and Evaluation Plan and Board of Education policy
