The Weston Public Schools is seeking to hire an Elementary Teacher (either grade 1 or
2) at Woodland Elementary School. This is a full‑time role reporting to the Building Principal. We are looking for a diverse pool of applicants who are inspired by our mission to educate, equip, and inspire all students to achieve their full potential and enrich their community.

• Provide whole class, small group, and specialized instruction
• Model a precise and expressive use of language to effectively communicate with students, including expectations for learning, directions for activities, and explanations of content
• Use questions, prompts, and discussion techniques to cognitively challenge students, advance high‑level thinking and discourse, and promote metacognition
• Intellectually engage all students in learning through well‑designed learning tasks and activities that require complex thinking, and include appropriate scaffolding
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to drive instructional planning, monitor student learning, provide feedback to students, and facilitate students’ self‑monitoring of learning
• Ongoing collaboration with teachers and related service providers

• Bachelor's degree
• Licensed as an Elementary Teacher (1‑6) in MA required
• Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement (SEI)
• Experience as an Elementary School Teacher, ideally in a diverse public school setting
• Competent with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Strong work ethic and an eagerness to improve
• A commitment to doing whatever it takes to support all students learning and development

This is a school‑year role (184 days over a full school year), represented by the Weston Education Association, and entitled to the same salary schedule as teachers and other professional staff. In addition, the Weston Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including subsidized health insurance and participation in the Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System.
