Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Weston, WI | Labor and Delivery / Postpartum / Mother-Baby

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Days (Nights are the highest need; schedule may be variable) | Onsite | Self-Scheduling | Every third weekend | Every other holiday | No on-call requirement | Opportunity to pick up additional shifts when available

• Provide direct nursing care for labor, vaginal birth, cesarean section, induction, and postpartum patients on an 11-bed combined L&D/Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit
• Recover post-cesarean section patients (excluding cases performed under general anesthesia)
• Titrate IV medications for labor induction and manage epidural drips
• Support special care nursery patients in collaboration with in-house respiratory therapy as needed
• Monitor patients using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) systems; EFM experience required
• Float to other units (Medical-Surgical, PCU) in a supportive capacity only — no independent patient load or out-of-scope assignments

• Active RN licensure in Wisconsin or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• LDRP experience required
• Experience with cesarean section recovery (excluding cases under general anesthesia)
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date of at least 6 months prior to submission date
• Must live more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for the standard contract rate

• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing and practice guidelines
• Experience with Novii and/or GE electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Experience in special care nursery settings
• Comfort working in a high-acuity OB environment with approximately 320 births per year

• Work in a well-supported OB environment with in-house OB coverage, 24/7 anesthesia, and in-house respiratory therapy for special care nursery patients
• Hospital-supplied scrubs provided and a structured two-shift unit orientation to set you up for success
