Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to lead the account reconciliation process and ensure strong adherence to internal controls. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter with solid accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and advanced Excel knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the monthly account reconciliation process, including preparation, review, research, and issue resolution
- Analyze account activity and balances to identify discrepancies and required adjustments
- Maintain reconciliation policies and develop clear process documentation and SOPs
- Train team members on reconciliation procedures and internal control requirements
- Identify and implement process and system improvements
- Support the monthly close process and assist with strategic and ad hoc projects
- Supervise and support team members, including work assignment, training, and performance guidance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including audit experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Experience developing policies, documenting processes, and ensuring compliance
- Prior experience leading or mentoring team members preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (D365 or Black Line a plus)
