GFA is seeking talented musicians/educators to teach individual and group lessons to students of varying ability levels in grades 4-8. We are accepting applications for brass, woodwinds, and strings. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach across the string and/or band curriculum.

This is a part-time position of 6-8 hours per week. All lessons occur during the school day. Additional responsibility includes required attendance at all concerts in which their students are participating.

• Bachelor's degree in music education or music performance
• Demonstrated proficiency on a major instrument
• Experience in teaching students in grades 4-8
• Ability to teach classes of varying instruments and ability levels

Founded in 1925, GFA is situated on a former Vanderbilt estate in a scenic 44-acre waterfront campus located in Westport, CT. GFA is a suburban school close to many transportation options and a five-minute walk from the Greens Farms Metro-North train station. The campus sits a half-hour south of New Haven and an hour north of New York City by car or commuter train.
