Part- Time Economics Instructor

Location

On-site at our Westport, CT Center. All sessions take place at our center in Westport, CT. This is not a remote position.

This is a part-time role beginning August/September 2026. Candidates must be available to work weekends, with additional weekday hours based on student scheduling needs.

With a pedagogical approach shaped by our founders’ work in cognitive science at Yale University, we offer holistic academic support across a wide range of subjects, including Economics. Our instructors help students tackle complex material with confidence, whether they’re studying microeconomics, macroeconomics, or AP-level coursework.

As a part-time instructor, you’ll work one-on-one with students in a collaborative and highly supportive environment. This work goes beyond content mastery—it’s about fostering independence, resilience, and intellectual curiosity. The work is challenging, rewarding, and deeply meaningful for both students and instructors alike.

You have a B.A./B.S. in Economics or a related field and a strong foundation in high school and introductory college-level economics. You may already have experience teaching or tutoring, or you may be eager to develop your instructional skills in a highly supportive environment. What matters most is your passion for the subject, your ability to communicate clearly, and your enthusiasm for helping students grow.

We’ll train you in our teaching philosophy and instructional methods, but you’ll bring your own personality and strengths to the role. Maybe it’s your ability to simplify supply-and-demand curves, connect abstract concepts to real-world examples, or help a stressed-out student feel more confident and capable. We’re looking for instructors who are authentic, intellectually curious, and relationship-driven.

You may also have the opportunity to participate in our rotational training program, where instructors can explore additional areas such as Educational Therapy and Standardized Test Preparation, expanding both instructional experience and long-term professional development.

All sessions take place at our 11,000-square-foot headquarters in Westport, CT. Our center is more than a tutoring space—it’s a place where students study, relax, connect, and grow. Instructors are provided with dedicated workspace, whiteboards, and all materials needed for effective sessions.

We work closely together to design and implement individualized learning plans. This is not transactional tutoring—it’s long-term, relationship-driven education designed to make a lasting impact.

We take teaching seriously and invest heavily in instructor growth. Our Directors hold advanced degrees and provide mentorship, observation, and ongoing training to support the development of your instructional expertise.

Scheduling, billing, printing, and materials are handled by our full-time administrative team, allowing instructors to focus primarily on student support and instruction.

This is a part-time hourly position with compensation based on experience and qualifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field
• Strong communication skills, computer literacy, and attention to detail
• Confidence working in a fast-paced, student-focused environment
• Weekend availability required
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation (this is an on-site position; remote work is not available)
