Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, payment execution, and vendor management. This role ensures timely and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and internal controls. The Accounts Payable Manager will report to the Director of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily, weekly and ad hoc payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, checks, Ramp)
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments in accordance with terms and company policies
- Prepare and process payment batches to Controller for approval
- Resolve escalated vendor payment inquiries and disputes
- Ensure vendor records (including banking details) are accurate and secure
- Oversee vendor onboarding processes with a focus on payment setup and validation
- Partner with Treasury to manage cash flow and funding of payment runs
- Forecast payment needs and ensure proper liquidity planning
- Prepare and present reports on payment activity, performance, and key metrics
- Oversee annual 1099 compliance and reporting. Conduct a review of the vendor master file within the ERP to ensure correct categorization and refine internal processes to mitigate filing errors and streamline year-end reporting
- Oversee AP aging analysis to identify payable items, prioritize payments, and investigate and resolve aged balances
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting strongly preferred
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience with direct payment processing
- Understanding of internal controls; knowledge related to system process validation checks
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong project management experience
- Strong Excel skills

$75,000—$90,000 USD
