Computer Operations Technician

Full‑time, 12‑month position.

Location:

Staples High School.

Reports to:

Director of Technology.

Salary: $49,000–$51,000 (plus benefits: vacation, sick and personal days, health insurance, and defined contribution plan). Starting date:
August 1, 2026.

• Two to four years of desktop or IT helpdesk support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related major and certification desirable.
• Proficiency with Mac OS X setup, installation, configuration, imaging, and JAMF enterprise management (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office installation.
• Familiarity with LAN concepts (VLANs) and network electronics (switches, access points).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multi‑assignment skills.
• Effective oral and written communication, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport equipment up to 50 pounds.

• Provide quality support to end users: diagnosis and repair of desktops, laptops, software, peripherals, classroom AV, and network electronics.
• Configure new and replacement computers using Windows Deployment Server and JAMF.
• Assist in setting up and implementing new technologies.
• Document procedures and inventory with management.
• Help intake service calls as needed.
• Perform additional delegated duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Director of Technology.
