Pay Range: $24.50 - $48.50 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience)
Position SummaryAvera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN) to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient‑focused settings. The role may include a relocation bonus and a sign‑on incentive for RNs and LPNs.
Responsibilities- Provides resident care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to other health‑care team members.
- Coordinating with other healthcare providers and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends.
- Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining residents, and documenting physical and psychological conditions.
- Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing resident care goals and instructing residents and families about conditions, medications, and self‑care skills.
- Evaluates resident care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against care standards.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy resident care environment by following infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintains resident care equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, and ensuring supplies are ready.
- Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers; directs nursing assistants and other personnel.
- Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.
- Must be able to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions, including visual acuity, communication, hearing, and understanding speech.
- Required education:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing, active state license upon hire. - Preferred experience:
1-3 years in a clinical or long‑term care environment.

- Maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.
