Reports To: Captain (Store Manager)/First Mate (Assistant Manager)/Second Mate (Part time Manager)

Locations: CT Retail Westport, 90 Main St, Westport, Town of, CT 06880, USA

Overview: Responsible for assisting the management team in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience, supports our brand promise (“Every Day Should Feel This Good”) and makes service a top priority.

Functions & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for meeting goals/measures.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with top customers.
  • Supports in-store event sourcing and execution.
Customer Experience
  • Ensures the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision of “Every Day Should Feel This Good” through “Hosting the Party.”
  • Leads the store in email capture and educates new associates on best practices.
  • Ensures the customer wish list is always current and customers are notified when product arrives.
Crew Development
  • Assists with training new associates.
  • Helps foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging and energetic crew and customer environment.
  • Assists in recruiting and referring top talent for the store’s teams.
  • Supports store and team‑building activities with the management team.
Operations
  • Maintains loss prevention awareness at all times.
  • Helps maintain a clean and tidy store environment.
  • Maintains merchandising as it pertains to company standards, current compass (floor set), and brand initiatives.
  • Contributes to weekly product feedback.
