As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $18.00 to $20.00 depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
- Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours:
13–15 hours per week
. - Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Utilize technology for communication with supervisors, reporting, feedback, and surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: During seasonal demand peaks, work additional days and extended hours. On holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother's Day, and Father’s Day, work may occur on the holiday itself, including weekends.
- Department resets: Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support team members as needed across territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires high energy and urgency. Work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of pulling, lifting, and carrying products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operates a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
