As the Accountant Assistant you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance activities of GF Sprague. As an essential part of the Finance team, you will work closely with regional financial leadership to ensure accurate financial results and data clarity in accordance with US GAAP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead key accounting activities in conjunction with the regional finance team. This includes job costing, accounts receivable processing, accounts payable approvals, payroll submission and commission calculations.
- Manage the financing life cycle. Submitting credit applications, communicating status with internal staff.
- Work with local teams to ensure daily accuracy of job costing data and inventory tracking.
- Partner with Regional Finance Manager and Corporate Accounting team on month-end processes and provide financial feedback and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement and improve financial controls and processes.
- Monitor and manage customer collections flow to maintain the financial health of the company.
- Support financial and tax compliance audits where necessary.
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set-up of the company's financials.
- Work with Corporate Finance to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Minimum 3 years of related accounting experience.
- Exceptional knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting and internal controls.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize to manage conflicting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with Google and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience will also be considered
- Experience with ERP and consolidation/reporting systems.
- Direct experience with Acumatica.
- Experience in the construction industry.

This position ranges from $33.00 - $36.00 per hour depending on a variety of circumstances.
