Controller
CFS is partnering with a growing organization to identify a hands-on Controller for an on-site opportunity based in West Bridgewater, MA. This position offers a salary range of $125,000-$140,000 plus bonus potential and benefits. The role is primarily located in West Bridgewater, with occasional travel to the company's East Hartford, CT office.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting functions.
- Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights and support business decisions.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
The Controller will oversee all accounting and finance activities while maintaining a strong hands-on presence in the department. This Controller role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, improving processes, and working closely with operations.
Successful Controller candidates will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
- ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to East Hartford, CT.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on management style.
