Hire Care Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our team and support one of our affiliated healthcare facilities in Massachusetts. The Business Office Manager will play a key role in overseeing the facility’s financial and business operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the overall financial health of the facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with healthcare business office experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced facility environment.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the overall financial operations of the facility, including programs and activities, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Report the facility’s financial performance to the Administrator and Board of Managers, Directors, and/or governing body as directed.
Identify key financial performance indicators and establish ongoing systems to monitor these indicators and promote the fiscal health of the facility.
Develop and implement Business Office processes and systems for billing, collections, accounts payable, patient trust, liability notices, general ledger functions, business and payroll taxes, purchase orders, cash flow, and other necessary business transactions.
Ensure Business Office procedures comply with applicable regulatory requirements, including bed-hold notice requirements.
Develop and maintain payroll accounting processes, including accounting functions related to employee benefit and retirement plans and insurance accounting requirements under applicable regulations, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Prepare monthly facility income statements and maintain financial records and cost reports for submission to authorized government agencies as required.
Utilize and maintain proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe, and other electronic reporting and financial systems.
Maintain schedules for capital expenses and fixed asset depreciation.
Review and interpret monthly financial statements and provide relevant financial information to the Administrator and Board of Directors, Managers, or governing body.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and ensure timely completion of required reports.
Collaborate with facility leadership and other departments to support efficient financial and administrative operations.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Business Office Manager or healthcare finance role
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and other electronic reporting systems
Knowledge of healthcare facility financial operations, billing, collections, payroll, and regulatory requirements preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Competitive pay: $33–$44 per hour, based on experience
