Superintendent – Repair
Location:
Boston, MA
- Visit job sites and perform quality audits to ensure that route work is completed efficiently and cost‑effectively.
- Perform NIM job audit within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers, identifying issues that could affect equipment reliability and providing feedback for improvement.
- Assist mechanics with jobs, including troubleshooting and on‑the‑job training.
- Use accounting reports to review route profitability and callback data, providing feedback and reports to management.
- Participate in safety training.
- Provide technical input to sales staff on scope of work and materials needed for repair bids, including calculation of labor and material costs.
- Give feedback to the service manager prior to field evaluations and performance ratings.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.
- Stay familiar with company products by attending training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods, working with regional field trainers.
- Determine required materials for repairs and place orders.
- Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills; or general business knowledge normally acquired through a bachelor's degree; or two years of experience managing at a branch departmental level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.

Salary range: $105,000 – $143,000. The role offers a car allowance or company vehicle, fuel card, and an annual incentive program.
