- Implement strategic regulatory initiatives and work with key regulatory stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with state regulatory agencies, government officials, consumer advocates, trade associations, industry groups, and other stakeholders
- Represent the company in meetings, working groups, industry forums, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Build coalitions and identify collaboration opportunities on regulatory and policy initiatives
- Monitor and assess regulatory proceedings, legislative developments, and policy initiatives
- Provide internal awareness of stakeholder perspectives, regulatory trends, and emerging risks
- Support development and execution of regulatory strategies aligned with company objectives
- Evaluate regulatory and industry trends with cross-functional internal teams
- Provide accurate information to regulators and regulatory guidance to the business
- Review informational responses submitted to regulators for alignment with regulatory affairs strategy
- Coordinate regulatory strategy and cross-functional support on major regulatory dockets
- Participate in emergency response activations
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans for priority initiatives and regulatory matters
- Identify and proactively address stakeholder concerns
- Work in a high-pressure environment involving simultaneous activities, deadlines, and significant business commitments
- Travel frequently to multiple locations, hearings, and technical sessions
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline or related experience
- Minimum of ten (10) or more years of experience successfully building relationships, leading change, and managing complex projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills to lead multiple projects
- Experience building external and internal relationships and credibility with key influencers
- Thorough understanding of policy initiatives supported by regulators
- Strong analytical skills using qualitative principles and quantitative analysis to develop regulatory policy
- Sound business judgment and ability to present nuanced recommendations from analytical findings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Ability to work across functional teams, leverage resources, create consensus, and lead change
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
- Travel required, including frequent visits to multiple locations, hearings, and technical sessions
- Must be able to work off-hours and extended periods as necessary

Demonstrates expertise in regulatory strategy development and stakeholder engagement, with a strong ability to analyze regulatory trends and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Proven track record in managing complex projects and building relationships with key regulatory stakeholders.
