Requirements and Responsibilities
- Develop plans and designs that enhance a living space based on the needs of a client.
- Plans use and layout of the space and decorating with color, furniture, fixtures, etc..
- Responsible for planning the use and layout of the space and decorating with color, furniture, fixtures, etc.
- Develop drawings, presentations, and cost estimates.
- Develop furniture plans, renderings, technical drawings for custom millwork, custom furniture, tile layouts, and plumbing locations.
- Research, design, select, specify and document furniture, fixtures, lighting, finishes, millwork, etc.
- Coordinate the work of contractors and vendors.
- Work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
- Work is closely managed.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
- 0-2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Team player with a willingness to learn
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Photoshop, Sketchup & the Microsoft Suite
