5 Tool Performance is a baseball development facility with 17K sq ft. of turf and gym space. We are conveniently located off of three major highways intersecting in Westwood, MA.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about sports, biomechanics, biology and technology. We need a pitching specific instructor/coach who played at the college level and can bring their experience, insights, and knowledge to the pitching arena.

Job Summary

We are seeking an outgoing and energetic pitching instructor to join our 5 Team team! As an instructor, you will create lesson plans, share and weigh in on various pitching styles and approaches, program, provide timely professional feedback, understand how to integrate metrics with gut feel, communicate and guide our clients and their families, and work closely with our team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and create age‑appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, skill development, and drills. We have a strong baseline so need you to execute.
  • Proactive in building a client following.
  • Lead structured, well‑thought‑out lesson plans.
  • Provide positive feedback, guidance, and encouragement.
  • Customize learning paths to suit each player's abilities.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians and players.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Embrace and improve the 5 Tool culture of learning and evolving.
  • Assist with all administrative matters relating to teaching and communication.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience coaching players is preferred.
  • Comfortable with analytics, trends and patterns.
  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred but not required.
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understands how to build trust and relationships.
