The Prodigy Program is an after-school music lesson program that provides private and semi-private lessons on all wind, string, percussion instruments, voice and piano to over 200 students by 16 musicians/teachers. Parents pay in advance for thirty lessons. Teachers submit time sheets for payment and get paid on a biweekly basis. Students are assigned to teachers by the Director of the Prodigy Program.
Prodigy teachers establish their own teaching schedules. Lessons are typically taught on-site at Westwood High School and scheduled at mutually convenient times between the music teacher and parent. Lessons are typically scheduled weekdays between 3:00-8:00 PM.
