The Manufacturing - Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of materials, components, and systems used in the production process. They work closely with design engineering to recommend methods and procedures for achieving the required levels of product reliability. Additionally, they develop new techniques and tools to identify potential issues early on and make recommendations for improvements.
Responsibilities- Create, edit, and validate Reliability Block Models using Reliasoft Applications such as Weibull++, Block Sim, and Xfracas.
- Evaluate materials, properties, and techniques used in production from a reliability standpoint.
- Advise design engineering on the selection, application, and testing of electronic components and systems.
- Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve the desired product reliability levels.
- Determine reliability requirements of components and systems to meet company, customer, and regulatory reliability objectives.
- Develop new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to identify potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product reliability early on.
- Make recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems.
- Propose changes in design or formulation to enhance system and process reliability.
- Experience in manufacturing processes and practices.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of Reliasoft Applications, such as Weibull++, Block Sim, and Xfracas.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
