Transmission Line Engineer
We're seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to support and contribute to our growing Transmission Line Engineering practice in the North Division. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take on complex technical challenges, contribute to high-impact projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across New York, New Jersey, and New England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed design and analysis of overhead and underground transmission line systems (69kV to 500kV), including structure loading, conductor selection, line routing, and foundation design.
- Apply industry standards such as NESC, ASCE, and utility-specific requirements to ensure compliance and quality.
- Support project delivery from concept through construction, including estimating, scheduling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical input to ensure accuracy, constructability, and alignment with client expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers, junior engineers, and other technical specialists to deliver successful outcomes.
- Contribute to proposal development and client engagement efforts as needed.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and technical development initiatives across the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; multi-state licensure is a plus.
- 5–10 years of experience in transmission line engineering, with a strong track record of technical delivery.
- Proficiency in transmission line design tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, SAG
10, and LPILE. - Experience working with utilities, EPC contractors, and engineering consultants.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The expected salary for this position is $127,000 - $155,000.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
