- Assist in roadway and intersection design, including traffic control and signage
- Help prepare construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates
- Participate in field visits and construction observations
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D or Micro Station to support plan development
- Collaborate with transportation engineering professionals on infrastructure projects across the Northeast
- Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related degree
- Coursework or experience related to roadway design or traffic studies or other related coursework and experience
- Strong interest in transportation engineering, roadway design, or traffic analysis
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness
- Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, Synchro, or other 3D modeling/visualization tools preferred
- At least 2 years of completed coursework in a college level academic program preferred
- Previous internship experience in engineering design, construction observation, or consulting preferred
Demonstrates proficiency in roadway and intersection design, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and Micro Station for plan development. Possesses strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail, with a solid foundation in transportation engineering principles.
