- Assist in roadway and intersection design, including traffic control and signage
- Help prepare construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates
- Participate in field visits and construction observations
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D or Micro Station to support plan development
- Work with the Transportation Business Line on infrastructure projects across the Northeast
- Collaborate with state DOTs, municipalities, and private clients
- Contribute to sustainable, cost-effective, and forward-thinking transportation designs
- Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related degree
- Coursework or experience related to roadway design, traffic studies, or other related coursework and experience
- Strong interest in transportation engineering, roadway design, or traffic analysis
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness
- Preferred: hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, Synchro, or other 3D modeling/visualization tools
- Preferred: at least 2 years of completed coursework in a college-level academic program
- Preferred: previous internship experience in engineering design, construction observation, or consulting
Demonstrates capabilities in roadway and intersection design, utilizing tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D and Micro Station. Strong interest in transportation engineering and effective communication skills are essential for collaboration with various stakeholders.
