Description
A Deli Associate assists guests in choosing products and portion sizes, sharing knowledge about the ingredients and preparation of products at the deli counter.
- Assists guests with product selection and slices, weighs, labels and packages products as requested
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, side dishes and dinner items for take out
- Merchandises displays attractively and rotates products per quality and to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work area that meets Department of Health standards
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Basic knife skills
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
