The Job

We are seeking a Hospitality Security Manager to manage all aspects of our security operations. The Hospitality Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring that proper policies and procedures are in place to provide a professionally welcoming, safe, and secure environment for employees, visitors, assets, and confidential or proprietary information, in a cost-effective manner.

Duties
  • Manage the first, second and third shift front desk staff, including supervising, scheduling, timekeeping, interviewing, hiring (with final approval by Director of Resident Services), and training.
  • Prepare, distribute and manage weekly schedules for Front Desk staff.
  • Responsible for covering all Front Desk call outs, vacation shifts and any other shifts that need coverage.
  • Review all reports generated by 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shifts.
  • Must be present at Front Desk and perform front desk duties when covering a shift.
  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all security staff are CPR certified. Schedule CPR classes when necessary.
  • Act as a liaison with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Provide security and awareness training to employees, residents, and contractors as needed or required.
  • Provide hospitality training to Hospitality Security Associates to deliver consistent high-quality service with friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor ensuring every interaction reflects the organization’s values.
  • Oversee defibrillator upkeep and service.
  • Hold quarterly Disaster preparedness meetings and Fire Drills. Act as Chair and performs duties of Disaster Planning Committee.
  • Provide key fobs.
  • Keep accurate inventory of keys within the master key box.
  • Protect the company’s assets related to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including reporting all incidents immediately to immediate supervisor.
  • Complete all incident reports with detailed information and keep in binder.
  • Document quarterly Fire Drill’s and keep logs in designated Fire Drill binder.
  • Check Emergency Disaster Plan monthly and make any updates.
  • Respond to Front Desk routine and non-routine emergencies as reported by front desk staff nights, weekends, and Holidays.
  • Complete and administer employee performance reviews.
  • Maintain resident directory and up-to-date status of resident list in Silver sphere.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Four-year college degree in Public Safety preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in Security, in an assisted living industry highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Supervisory Requirements
  • Responsible for supervising the Hospitality Security Associates
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking 80% of the time.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended period of time.
