American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with circulating experience in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery for a day shift assignment requiring an active NJ or compact RN license.

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Circulate cases in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Epic charting system used

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, ENT, gynecology, neurology, plastics, podiatry, bariatrics, and robotics preferred
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci and Mako preferred

• Perform circulating RN duties across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Utilize specialized equipment including cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana table
• Apply knowledge of infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol time-out procedures
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
