American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 1 year of experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

• General medical/surgical unit caring for stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, pneumonia, isolation, and weakness/unsteady gait patients
• Patients come from surrounding community, assisted living facilities, and nursing care facilities
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and rapid response/code team utilization
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Respiratory care including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required
• Charting system experience required, Epic preferred

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory support in a Med/Surg setting
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols for infection control
• Navy top and bottom scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel pairs or groups not accepted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
