If you're an experienced Electrical Technician who enjoys variety, fault-finding and working on unique engineering projects, this could be the perfect opportunity.
We're recruiting for a skilled Electrical Technician to join an innovative and well-established business in Wetherby. This is a hands-on role where you'll work on a range of electrical, electro-mechanical and automation projects, supporting everything from site infrastructure and installations through to maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal position for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing new skills and working as part of a supportive engineering team.
The Role- Installing, maintaining and testing commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Fault-finding and repairing electrical issues to minimise downtime
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
- Supporting electrical installations across buildings, lighting systems and site services
- Assisting with electrical and engineering projects, including automation and control systems
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working within industrial and/or commercial environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A flexible and hands-on approach to problem solving
- Electro-mechanical systems
- Automation and automated machinery
- Electronics and control systems
- AM2 Qualification
- Mechanical maintenance
- 8-hour working day
- Flexible start and finish times between 7:30am and 5:30pm
- Weekend rota averaging two weekend days per month
- Occasional overtime during busy project periods, including some evening work
- £40,000 salary
- 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
