Highcrest Elementary School is seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to serve as our Long-Term Substitute Grade 1 Teacher to fill an opening. The position is vital to our school as the staff member has regular and influential interaction with students, staff and parents/families. This role will be filled immediately.

The chosen candidate will be employed by our temporary staffing partner, Kelly Educational Staffing, and will be assigned to fill this opening.

The substitute Grade 1 Teacher will be responsible for all common teacher responsibilities, including but not limited to preparing and delivering lessons and ensuring students receive regular feedback and assessment.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree;

* Appropriate CT Certification credentials are preferred, but not required;

* Background, experience

* Excellent oral communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to interact with students, staff and parents;

* Ability to plan and organize work schedule and set priorities and work independently and with a sense of urgency;

* Excellent classroom management skills with both small and large groups;

* Ability to handle and treat information confidentially
