Special Education Teacher, Elementary School
Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as you support their success in an inclusive learning environment. This contract position offers the chance to use your expertise as a Special Education Teacher, working with grades 3-6 and providing essential push-in services during regular school hours.
Qualifications andExperience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary school setting, preferably grades 3-6
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with fellow educators, parents, and support staff
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Deliver push-in special education services to students in general education classrooms
- Work closely with general education teachers to modify curriculum and accommodate diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess student performance and adjust strategies to maximize academic and social growth
- Maintain consistent documentation and communication with families and staff regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and faculty activities
