Your impact:
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Design Manager to support the management and delivery of water infrastructure projects in New England. Our design managers lead the scoping, planning, and execution of projects, ensuring both quality and financial performance. In this role, you’ll leverage your leadership and technical skills to optimize team performance and consistently deliver high‑quality solutions for our clients.

- Project and design planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with Jacobs’ established project delivery processes, to meet scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements.
- Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while ensuring Jacobs’ expectations are met in quality, financial performance, project delivery, and risk management.
- Contribute to the development of the New England Water Market by delivering innovative, technology‑driven solutions for our clients.
- Provide staffing and completion forecasts to Group Leaders and Managers of Projects.
- Mentor and support less experienced staff to help them grow into future Project/Design Managers.
- BS or MS Degree in an engineering discipline with a focus on water/wastewater systems and infrastructure.
- Minimum 10 years engineering design experience in the water/wastewater field.
- PE License in MA, NH, RI, or CT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience with the design of water treatment plants and/or wastewater treatment plants greater than 20‑mgd.
- Demonstrated project experience in the New England Water Market.
- Construction observation/management and field start‑up services experience.
- Experience with Alternative Delivery, including Design‑Build and/or CMAR.

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
