Job Overview
We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group. You will work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring schedule and technical quality of complex engineering tasks while learning client expectations, scope, budget and schedule. You will collaborate in a multi‑disciplinary team that conceptualizes initial civil design for land/site development, prepares grading plans, and performs earthwork and drainage/stormwater calculations.
Key Responsibilities- Site development, site master planning and site selection
- Underground utility routing and site space planning
- Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
- Designing gravitational wastewater systems
- Performing final grading plans, cut and fill analysis, and earthwork balancing
- Providing erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support for permit approval
- Researching and adhering to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction in any area
- Stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications such as Storm
CAD and Civil Storm
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license or ability to obtain one within 6 months
- 15 or more years of engineering experience with extensive related project experience
- Strong working knowledge of designing all aspects of medium to large‑scale industrial developments
- Ability to perform project discipline lead responsibilities on complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and direct civil design within the team
- Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience preparing, assembling, and reviewing construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base
- Bluebeam experience
- Experience using Navisworks
