Responsibilities- Collaborating and working with a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.
- Participating in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects and tasks.
- Coordinating project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians within the local and regional water group.
- Completing civil design calculations for a variety of projects, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by each assignment.
- Assisting in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Participating in professional organizations for marketing, industry recognition, networking, and building the Jacobs brand.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering discipline, is required.
- PE license in the state of CT required or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Experience in serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment processes and technologies, master planning and condition assessments.
- Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Technical writing, reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigations, memorandums, or solutions reports.
- Working knowledge and understanding of local and state design codes and standards. Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in AutoCAD and ESRI ArcGIS is required.
- Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule and budget.
- Involvement in professional society organizations, community organization or other leadership roles with volunteer organizations.
- Self‑motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities.

SalaryThe base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
