Quality Assurance Supervisor, WETUMPKA, AL

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for all Quality Assurance related goals, objectives, performance, personnel, and improvements. This includes direct supervision of quality control inspectors at two facilities.

Essential Job Functions:
  • As a leader in the company, the QA Supervisor will enforce safety policies within the company and department in the continued effort to achieve zero safety incidents.
  • Assists in establishing company policies as related to quality assurance objectives, as well as actionable quality control methodology.
  • Develops QA staff by hiring, training, and mentoring to improve the knowledge and experience of the department to better achieve success.
  • Schedule and deploy department resources to ensure support coverage throughout the production environment.
  • Develops reasonable QA goals and methods for the business to ensure the highest quality products are delivered within the necessary production time frames.
  • Assist in developing standards of work as related to QA policies throughout the production environment.
  • Develop and maintain QA Metrics for communication purposes to support upper management decisions.
  • Develop and maintain internal audit regiment to further develop the company QA System.
  • Interact with production personnel and management daily in order to address non-conformities in a timely manner.
  • Administer and maintain company tooling control and calibration programs.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly creation and reporting of QA related reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, as well as experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Technical problem solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to promote Continuous Improvement
  • Self-driven and results oriented
Education and Experience:
  • BS Degree in a technical field is preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in an established Quality Assurance department required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of lean processes and ISO standards preferred
